This agreement may, in special cases, be issued to applicants who are in tax arrears if an installment arrangement has been made with SARS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"pf0\">SARS introduced the new Tax Clearance PIN in 2016 with the new tax compliance status system. This change made it possible to generate a real-time tax clearance status. The system generates a tax clearance online and provides the user with a PIN that can be given to any 3rd party that may require it. The 3rd party will be given authorization, by means of the PIN, to verify the status themselves with SARS on E-filing.
